Behind the Scenes – Mandala Wedding Invitations on Project Wedding

I adore collaborating with the team at Project Wedding.  They continually produce editorial designed to not only inspire but to enlighten a bit, I believe.  Have a look at the last time I got creative with them here.

Mandalas, loosley described as a spiritual symbol of the universe, have their roots in Hinduism.  Often drawn intricately or carved into the ground or sand, these round symbols of life and spiritual earth each have their own visual personality.  This wedding inspiration shoot interpreted the Mandala as a floral symbol of never ending love and unity.  My interpretation of the Mandala was meant to celebrate the artful, life giving forces on earth and how they can transform our experiences if we choose to appreciate them.

So I invite you to relax a bit and really look closely.  This invitation suite is filled with rich, textural hand painted moments.  The kind of painted moments that don’t scream out; the kind that whisper in a sweet sound of artful treasure.  These painted brushstrokes in shades of white, soft minty green and the softest of blush pinks fall somewhere between the feel of an impressionistic Monet and a sumptuous Vermeer.
