Hard to believe that Winter is around the corner… yes I know, go ahead and boo me…Nonetheless, Winter weddings offer up their own special sort of inspiration and imagery that I just love. Secretly I much prefer Winter to Summer – there’s just something about the wintery nights in front of the fireplace I just can’t get enough of! So cheers today to one of my absolute favorite Winter Wedding Invitation suites.
Heather wanted a very specific Birch Tree filled scene to adorn her invitations. So we set off to paint this scene with rich indigo inks, then print on a shimmery silver stock leaving all the white tones to be added by brush…
Of course it had to be snowing – every little snowflake was painted individually with the tiniest of brushes.
It even snowed on the Accommodations card…
All wrapped up with lace and more snowy painted dots.
This suite was all about a mixture of textures, smooth, creamy brushstrokes, pebbled and shimmery cardstocks and delicate lace.
