It’s been a busy season here at the studio and way too long since the last Peek into the Studio! I love this time of year as we’re still creating suites for summer while wrapping up fall wedding invitations – the best of both worlds…
First is Allyza’s eclectic wedding invitation combining watercolor sketches of a vineyard scene surrounded by late summer blooms like Lisianthus and Dahlias…The intensity of the Walnut veneer adds elegance and sophistication overall in an unexpected way.
Allyza chose to wrap her Pocketfold with lace and a simple tag illustrating the wedding venue…
Deanna’s suite combines the most delicate bouquet of Hydrangea, Garden Roses and Dahlia with a delightful mix of cardstocks in Indigo, Paisley and blush.
I love how the raspberry tones of watercolor mingle with the shimmering blush stock here…
Deb’s lakeside keepsake wedding invitations were a hit here. We call them keepsake because the simple folded concept allows guests to fold over and frame the artwork if they would like.
Hummingbird details…
Elizabeth and Joseph’s Tree Wedding invitation suite was full of personal details from their chapel, dog and cat and a depiction of the tree under which they were engaged!
The little details…
Caitlin’s Vintage inspired Wedding Invitation suite featured watercolor banners and roses all painted with sheer shimmery inks.
Alison’s Watercolor Dahlia Wedding Invitation is definitely a new favorite of mine…Sketched lace cardstock framing is an unexpected detail that adds so much interest. Touches of sheer shimmery ink were added over the individually watercolored blooms.
Tara’s mix of oceanside architecture and painterly blooms speaks volumes of the charming affair to come.
I can’t get enough of this painting technique! Simple white inks against linen shimmer cardstock – ohh!!
So what am I up to?
