Trend-Sketching NYC Bridal Market 2011 – Anne Barge

Anne Barge designs have a certain…swagger.  I mean no disrespect but a certain swagger that only comes when you hone your craft over time.  Deeply rooted in classic sensibilities but keenly inspired by modern aesthetics, Anne Barge continues to weave her way into our hearts with captivating design.

The room was hushed before this show began. The kind of quiet where you can feel the energy building.  The girls began their way down the runway and I became a bit overwhelmed.  Somehow pure emotion was captured in each foot step and sway of a veil.   The drama built simultaneously in my sketch while I captured Chantilly lace, Italian Razo Silk and bouquets of Silk Satin Organza.   Anne’s collection touched on upcoming color trends too,  where I predict strong gold shades will be an ever-confident partner to 2012’s bold palette of hues forthcoming.

Of course long sleeves are in high demand.  Color, color and more color is a mainstay according to Hilary from Alta Moda Bridal in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Her Brides adore color and are fearless when choosing non-traditional shades for their gowns.  Mes suiting continues to inspired designers in fresh ways.  From full jumpsuits to skirts with a pant-like silhouette, we are loving this masculine vibe turned ultra sexy and romantic for the ladies.
