Today I finished two orders in a flurry and now I get to sit down and relax a bit. I am working on a fun painting of a dark pink peony. No botanical lifelike illustrations today… I am instead capturing (hopefully) the spirit of these luscious blooms. I think that is the perfect word for the peony – luscious. It has such a touchable soft quality while being so alive with color and texture.
