2012 Artful Holiday Gift Guide from Momental Designs

Can you believe it?? It’s THAT time of year again?!  My shopping spirit is geared up and ready to go this Christmas and of course I’m never short on inspiration.  The hubby and I, every year stray farther and farther away from the crowds and monotonous chaos of shopping malls and traffic jams.

The hubby and I love spending time to dream up thoughtful gifts for each on our list and seeing that moment when the paper flies away and their faces tell the story, regardless of how much we spend… So without further adieu, here are my picks this year for the artful brain on your list.

Chie Mihara Shoes are a recent find of mine and gratefully known for their comfort.  Yes, that’s right, comfy heels.  More please.  I found Ayana Designs because I tend to Google search statement necklaces often and was immediately intrigued by the intricate bead work found in each piece.  Felted Slippers from Onstail via Etsy.com remind me of watercolor and have soft felted bottoms.  Win, win.  The Neon Watercolor Flower iPhone 5 Case from yours truly has become a recent favorite amongst our Zazzle shoppers!  In the Pink: Dorothy Draper-America’s Most Fabulous Decorator, is a must read for any Draper lover like me.  I’m a bit obsessed with curious cameos so this one by Larissa Loden’s Cameo Bib Necklace may just need to land in my stocking.  Someone want to tell the hubby?

I can’t live Jurlique’s  Calendula Cream.  Calendula soothes my skin year round whether sunburned or chapped and never leaves a residue.  Amazing for nurses or mail carriers too as a hand cream.  Lou Rota Crested Cariama Tray may look familiar as this ceramicist has a collection over at Anthropologie.  And finally, the Prada “Flowers” Tote, my dreaming-big-ya-right gift pick for the year.  There are no words for this beauty.  Stunning.

Happy shopping all! XO
