We’re so happy to share this Soft Watercolor Venue Illustration Wedding Stationery suite with you! All of Karlene’s luxurious stationery drew inspiration from her fantastic wedding location, The Ashford Estate. Each piece featured a different view of the property, to give guests a peek at where the festivities would take place.
Not only did each piece have a different illustration, but as presentation of the suite was super-important to the bride, we created layers of softly hand-painted pieces to unwrap. We began with the invite itself, set against opulent cardstocks and a subtle lavender watercolor wash in a gatefold presentation. This was wrapped in a specially die-cut band, featuring one of the garden views on the estate. A torn edge across the bottom adds a bit of texture.
A truly unique element was the extra fabric envelope, and hand painted silk bow. These held the gatefold piece, inside the custom-designed and hand painted envelope.
All the pieces were tied together not only by the Estate theme, but by airy sketches and subtle watercolor washes.
For a little extra texture and elegance, Karlene chose letterpress printing, which beautifully complements her graceful designs. Coordinating wedding day accessory pieces included table numbers with hand-watercolored numerals, which we loved.
Truly, a labor of love for us!
