Brooke was one of the sweetest Bride’s ever; always calm and trusting and incredibly appreciative of the art we created for her wedding. A soft palette of blush, navy and touches of antique gold suited the romantic vibe of her day. If you recall the movie A Walk to Remember you will instantly recognize the chapel. Luola Chapel in Winnabow, North Carolina nestled on The Orton Plantation was the perfect backdrop for Brooke and Christopher’s picturesque wedding celebration.
Perhaps the most magical detail of their day was the time of year. The chapel was surrounded by lush, seasonal blooms like Pansies, Azaleas and Rhododendron. A mature landscape of trees including live oak were alive with the fresh buds of spring creating a backdrop that seemed to be painted in gorgeous watercolor tones. Jessica created a custom illustration of Luola Chapel for Brooke’s tag embellishment on the wedding invitation while my peony sketch appeared throughout the collection in various spots.
There is something so enchanting about an old Live Oak with its sprawling branches and foliage alive with texture and color!
