This past Friday the Momental Girls and I went out on the town. I feel very strongly about my girls and am grateful for their talent, dedication and passion at the studio everyday. Any triumphs that occur are a direct result of this talented group of ladies and I felt it was time to honor them. Dinner at a local favorite, Rustic Kitchen was the destination but of course the night needed to be filled with meaningful details transforming a simple dinner into a heartfelt gift of thanks.
Each girl received a special, hand painted note from me featuring a recent artwork favorite.
The room was exquisite. Rich, dark woods and a warm color palette made the evening that much more intimate and inviting. Flowers by good friend Dorian of Central Park Flowers blew me away. Peach roses, white rununculus, pussy willow and parrot tulips were sculpted together in a short glass square. The mix of textures and crawling lines gave an edgy feel to the table that balanced the rustic charm of the room perfectly.
Caroline of Paloma’s Nest graciously created a custom piece for each girl and did so last minute during her busy website launch. We love you Caroline, thank you! I chose the words, “Each day with you is a joy.” This seemed fitting since the Momental Girls are not simply employees but instead partners in design and friends that fill each day with laughter. Working at the studio certainly is a roller coaster ride, where each day brings new challenges but it is a joy to be surrounded by people who care.
